Ditch the Candy This Halloween

Ditch the Candy This Halloween

When it comes to Halloween, maybe nothing tops the California homeowner who answers the door bearing an oversize tray. He offers an unsuspecting child a series of Lemony Snicket-worthy ‘treats’ (think tomato paste, olives, and canned sardines). With each refusal, he acts confused. Meanwhile, older siblings giggle in the dark a few feet away. But he never fails to bring out a second tray, brimming over with scrumptious treats. The kids are thrilled. Or maybe relieved. We’re not 100% sure.

Everyone wants to offer treats that are thoughtful and fun – and most of all, tasty. And every year more people want to get away from all that candy.

You know the drill: If you buy your own favorite candy, anything left over is going directly into your belly within a few days. Maybe hours. If you buy something you don’t like, you’re stuck with leftovers no one will touch (we won’t get into the love-it-or-hate-it candy corn controversy, as we want to stay in your good graces).

You want to do something different. Sure, you could give out a non-food item like a bubble pop sensory toy or colorful pencil, but there’s something about Halloween that just screams for something sweet.

Have no fear: we at Fruit for Thought have scared up tasty treats for you! Our single-serve packages make the perfect Halloween treat. In fact, many parents are surprised to see that their kids love our unsweetened organic dried mango or dried pineapple as much as a candy bar!

Can’t decide which fruit to get? There’s no need to limit yourself to just one – why not pick up our variety pack? It’s chock full of organic mango, pineapple, and cherries, and sure to please.

By the way, there’s no trickery here: we don’t add a thing to our dried fruit – no spooky artificial colors, no creepy preservatives. That would be horrifying any day of the year! And the sweetness you taste is the natural sugar present in the fruit – why would we mask it with added sugar? It’s already perfect.

You can order online directly from us at Fruit for Thought, at Walmart.com, or Amazon – and get it delivered right to your door. It’s so yummy, you might want to order a few extra for yourself!
